2nd April 2016 was a day where all Woodgrovers, students, staff, parents and partners came together to celebrate and remember the achievements of the past year as we look forward to the challenges ahead.
The day started off with a bang with the lion dancers from our WGS Modern Dance welcoming our guest-of-honour, Mr Welch Koh Tiong Gee, Managing Director of Dr. WHO Waterworks Private Limited, who is also our School Advisory Committee (SAC) member and distinguished guests and our school leaders.
The theme this year, “Empowering Growth, Taking Ownership, Seeking Breakthrough and Growing as One”, signifies our belief in our empowered students developing confidence through their various competencies and our commitment towards strengthening the individuals as we come together as one community.
Speech Day is a day where we give recognition to staff and students who had contributed, worked hard and achieved commendable results in their respective areas. This is also a day where we honour our partners for rendering their utmost support and service to the WGS family. Mr Welch Koh was also awarded the MOE Service to Education Award and the Special Friend of Woodgrove Award.
The audience were treated to an array of awesome performances, put together by our students and our partners, and thereafter with an Appreciation Lunch for all our invited guests and staff.
