Hari Raya Concert 2016

In the festive month of July this year, the Malay Language Unit put up a Hari Raya Concert to celebrate the joyous occasion of Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

The concert consisted of teachers’ and students’ performances on our very own Woodgrove stage. They worked together hand in hand to craft out a comical yet informative musical performance for school.
Through our collaboration with various CCAs this year, we were proud to showcase student performances from the Drama Club, Modern Dance and Choir in the performance. The students took their own initiative to practise hard despie their busy schedule.
Their efforts paid off when they managed to awe the audiences with their amazing performances. In addition, for the first time this year, we are pleased to have the winner of the Woodgrove Awesome, Nur Atiqah Irwan, together with a few other finalists to contribute their melodious voice to the tune of the Hari Raya songs.

The storyline of this year’s musical performance focused on the significance of Hari Raya Aidilfitri and how Hari Raya is celebrated not only by the Malay community in Singapore but everywhere across the globe by Muslims all over the world.

All in all, it is evident that the school enjoyed these performances through their constant cheering and clapping throughout the whole concert.
