Longquanyi District Education Bureau School Visit
A group of educators from Longquanyi District Education Bureau, China visited WGS on Tuesday, 21 July 2015.
The main objective of the visit was to provide the educators consisting of School Leaders with the opportunity to understand more of the education system in Singapore and what Woodgrove has to offer in the areas of Staff Management, Niche Programmes and Design Education.
The visitors arrived at WGS at 9.30am and were welcomed by the School Leaders and Key Personnel. Ms Serene and Mr Toh Mun Yeen took the visitors on a school tour highlighting key features of the school including our Green Trail. They were brought to D&T workshop for a D&T Experience where they took part in activities planned to introduce them to Design & Technology education.
After a short break, both groups were gathered in MRL for a presentation session. It started with a presentation on WGS Education conducted by Mr Lee (VP2) and Ms Chong Sze Khuin. This was followed by a presentation on WGS Staff Professional Development by Mr Phillip Tan, and Mr Tan Siong Liong spoke about Applied Learning Programme (ALP) and focused on Material Science for Sustainable Living.
The session ended with a presentation on Community Youth Leadership Programme conducted by Principal, Mr Chee.
