Selection Process

Selection process takes place from June to July 2024

The school will invite all shortlisted applicants to attend a compulsory group interview. The details of the Selection Trial will be communicated via email.

The Selection Trial includes:

Community Youth Leadership

Group Interview

Candidates will be engaged in a discussion and participate in a group activity.

Science for Sustainable Living

Interview with Panel

Candidates to share about their experiences in Science for Sustainable Living.

Optional to bring: Portfolio

Teachers would like to understand more about the child’s involvement in the area of Science for Sustainable Living. This can include:

The various activities the child was involved in.
The child’s role in the activities.

What the child has learnt.

The portfolio should include pictures of work done such as artefacts whenever possible.

Applicants should demonstrate relevant aptitude and potential during the Selection Trial process. Applicants who have completed the selection trial will receive a letter on the outcome of their applications by the end of August 2024.

School Preference Submission: October 2024

Students who receive at least one DSA-Sec offer will receive an email and SMS notification via Postman.gov.sg on the School Preference Submission Portal.

Both parents are required to login to the DSA-Sec Portal using their Singpass to submit up to three school preferences. If parent(s) are unable to submit online, they can approach their child’s primary school for assistance to submit the school preferences on their behalf.

DSA-Sec offers not taken up will be considered as lapsed at the end of the School Preference Submission period.

Allocation Results Release: November 2024

Students studying in MOE mainstream schools will receive their DSA-Sec results together with their PSLE results by end-Nov 2024. Students who are not studying in MOE mainstream schools will receive their DSA-Sec results via email.

Students who are successfully admitted to the school via DSA are expected to honour their commitment to the school, and participate in the activities related to the talent area they are selected for from year 1 to 4.
