20th Anniversary Carnival

2019 is a significant milestone year for Woodgrove Secondary School as we celebrate our 20th Anniversary. A series of events has been lined up throughout the year.

We held our carnival, one of the key anniversary events, on 13 April 2019 (Saturday) as part of the year-long celebrations.

The theme ‘Homecoming’ could not be more apt as we welcomed back former staff and students to join us in a day of fun and reminisce fond memories of the good old days.

The official launch of the carnival was marked by the eye-dotting of our new lion dance heads by our founding Principal, Mrs Helena Song, joined by former and current principals Mdm Sung and Mr Chee.

Our students and staff put up remarkable booths with a wide range of fun-filled activities which spanned from table games, water play, bouncy castles to machine-operated stations.

Their efforts were commendable as some classes went the extra mile to decorate their booths with creative use of recycled materials and even dress up as mascot to entice visitors to patronise their booths.

It was really a heart-warming event as the school was swarmed with an atmosphere of nostalgia as numerous alumni from yesteryears returned back to mingle with their teachers and peers.

Thank you all for returning Home and we look forward to your participation at our Gala Dinner in September.
