Yeong En is a responsible and mature individual. He sets clear goals and work towards them with steady determination. Very much a charismatic leader, he models exemplary behaviour and conducts himself well, and was thus selected as the Model Student for Secondary One in 2008. On the academic front, Yeong En has always excelled in his studies. With zeal to stretch his potential, Yeong En represented the school in several national competitions. He was involved in the Elementz Science Project Competition in 2010 held in Anderson Junior College, the National University of Singapore Geography Challenge in 2011 as well as the 12th Mathematics and Science Quiz in 2011 at Yishun Junior College.

Yeong En's strong leadership qualities and commitment to Chinese Orchestra saw him being appointed as the Vice-Chairperson from 2010 to 2011. He led the Chinese Orchestra in various events including leading the Orchestra in an International Music Exchange Learning Journey to Taiwan. Sincere and enthusiastic, Yeong En was able to inspire and motivate others to work. At times when the orchestra's morale is low, he was able to rise to the occasion by encouraging them and addressing the whole orchestra to get them on their feet, uniting the orchestra to work towards a common goal. As the Camp Commandant of the December 2010 Year-End Camp and the March 2011 SYF Intensive Practice Camp, Yeong En was in charge of the planning and execution of the entire programme to train the Orchestra for the SYF Central Judging, leading the Orchestra to its third consecutive Gold Award. Yeong En's leadership capability and contribution to the school extended beyond his Co-Curricular Activity (CCA). As a Student Councillor since 2009, Yeong En helped to run the Secondary One Orientation Camps in 2010 and 2011.

Mu Han is a mature and independent student. She has an enterprising spirit and is willing to persevere in spite of set-backs and difficulties. Mu Han takes pride in her work and is committed to achieving excellence. She is not afraid to seek clarification when in doubt and puts in consistent effort in her studies. Her perseverance and hard work paid off when she was awarded the Top Normal Academic Student in the school in 2009 and 2010.

Mu Han was a committed member of the Chinese Orchestra. A competent musician, she participated actively in various public performances such as the 10th Year Celebration Dinner and Concert and the Music Exchange with Marsiling Chinese Orchestra (MCO) in 2009. For her strong performance and commitment in Chinese Orchestra, Mu Han was selected to represent the school to participate in the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) Central Judging in 2009 and 2011 where the Chinese Orchestra clinched Gold Medals in both years. At the same time, Mu Han was also active in Community Involvement Programmes. In 2008, Mu Han volunteered to take part in a fund-raising walkathon for the Ace the Place Community Club. She participated in the Green Outreach Programme in 2008, 2009 and 2010, collecting recyclables from residents in Woodlands area.
