Dalian No.37 High School Visit
In February this year, our school played host to students from Dalian No.37 High School, China, who were here on a cultural exchange programme. The objective of this exchange is to provide our visitors an opportunity to interact and understand the culture of another country and to give them an insight into our school’s Design Education and Home Economics subjects.

On 1st and 3rd February, two batches of students from Da Lian No.37 High School, China visited Woodgrove Secondary School.
Through activities and sessions our visitors gained extra knowledge on Physical Education, Home Economics and Design and Technology (D & T). They interacted with WGS students and learnt more about the culture and curriculum of Singapore.

For many of the students from Da Lian, it was the first time that they experienced Home Economics or Design Education, and as such, the experience was enriching and meaningful. New friendships were forged in this process of teaching and learning.
Our visitors then savoured a favourite local delight, ‘Nasi Lemak,’ for lunch. Thereafter, they learnt about the Malay and Indian culture through activities such as tying a sari, conducted by our staff, Mdm Noraini and Mrs Theva.
