Values-In-Action (VIA) Project at SWAMI Home

On the 22nd of August 2017, our Orchestra had the privilege of performing our Values-In-Action (VIA) project at SWAMI Home in Sembawang, where we entertained the elderly residents with our renditions of popular songs such as Moonlight in the City (城里的月光) and Little Apple (小萍果). In addition, we engaged them in fun activities such as Origami, colouring, and Spot the Difference.

A total of 33 Secondary One to Three members of our Orchestra members participated in making a difference in our community.

Our students put in a lot of effort in planning the activities, from the performances, to the games. We are glad that our efforts brought about smiles and cheers to the residents, who clapped along to the beat of our songs.

Through this event, our students developed a greater sense of social responsibility, while developing a greater sense of empathy and compassion for those around them.
