Nutrition & Food Science Unit

Food & Consumer Education (FCE) subject is compulsory for all lower secondary students [Express, Normal (Academic) and Normal (Technical)]. The subject covers three main components:  food studies, consumer studies and elective module (project). Students are assessed mainly through written tests and projects. There is no written examination at lower secondary.

For upper secondary, Food & Nutrition (F&N) is offered as an elective subject for upper secondary students [Express and Normal (Academic)]. Students are assessed mainly through practical sessions, projects and written examination. When taking national examination, students would have to complete their coursework within a given period of time and sit for a written examination in Oct/Nov period.
